FISH
Go
I took a walk - To find my rock
To understand that talk
To unbind a chain and lock
Wasn’t what I expected
Found what’s been neglected
Realized what must be protected
An open heart has been suggested
There’s pressure twisting - How am I truly existing
Why are we always resisting - Let go they say - insisting
An empty plot - More food for thought
White flag - why not
To give up - To give in - To trust in a sin
To locate and pin - Those demons can’t win
Truth to surrender
Let go - We swim
We find a rock - Aboard no kin
Where’s our flock - We dive back in
Reached a dock - Just an empty bin
Plenty of fish in the sea
Rely for what’s meant to be
Or control all we may see
How do we guide the fish from the sea
How do we teach one how to breathe
When the ocean insists there’s only one way to be
A mind won’t trust - solely believe
Thirsty for knowledge in the depths of the sea
I can only understand thee as deeply as I understand me
I’ll trust in this rock - Alone it may seem
Awaiting a fish or flock - We surrender - now flee
We’ll glide through the sky - that’s where I’ll be
Movement to guide - In a place we can breathe
Shapes of a tri - Shapes of a ‘V’
Up so high - is it now we can see
The depths of our ocean - The Hieghts where we’re Free
…But how easy it feels to stay stuck in the “Me”
“From there to here, from here to there, funny things are everywhere.”
